Shark finning
People around the world fin sharks for trophies or food, like in China wherein a restaurant sells shark fin soup and According to some estimates, 100 million sharks may be killed annually, mostly to feed China's demand for shark fin soup and economy. Shark Fins bring in hundreds of dollars on the market, with the average being about $450 per pound. A bowl of soup can cost $100.The Shark fin soup has been considered a symbol of wealth and a delicacy in China ever since the times of the Ming Dynasty. It was a dish that only the Emperor and his guests would be served.

ReplyDeleteI like how you kept your blog simple and easy to read. I also liked how you told the cost of the dish to add more information about the topic. However, you could have told us what shark finning was and how it has impacted our ocean to provide a bit more information. Anyway, keep up the good work!
