Slave trade blog

Hello bloggers today I'm doing a blog about the slave trade triangle which took place during the 1800's

The Atlantic slave trade or Euro-American slave trade involved the transportation by slave traders of various enslaved African people, mainly to the Americas. The slave trade regularly used the triangular trade route and its Middle Passage, and existed from the 16th to the 19th centuries. The major Atlantic slave-trading nations, ordered by trade volume the British, the Spanish, the French the Dutch several had established outposts on the African coast where they purchased slaves from local African leaders.

Here is my work about the trade: https://www.google.co.nz/maps/d/edit?mid=13LhCISqkZq-LC3r8WvEeVpw_FKTxIQqu&ll=15.692588612346043%2C0&z=2

Making salts II

The aim for the experiment is to produce copper sulfate salt by reacting copper oxide with acid

The equipment I needed for the experiment was Copper oxide powder, 0.5 mole of dilute, sulfuric acid, 50 mL of measuring cylinder, two 200 mL beakers, Bunsen burner, tripod, gauze mat, funnel, filter paper, thermometer, spatula and a stirring rod

Method

1. Add 20 mL of sulfuric acid to a 100 mL beaker. Heat the acid until it reaches 70'C and then turn off the beaker

2. Once heated, use a spatula to add pea-sized portions of copper oxide to the beaker. Stir the mixture for 30 seconds

3. Repeat step 2 until no more will dissolve. Allow the beaker to cool

4. Fold the filter paper and place it in the funnel. Place the filter funnel into the second beaker.

5. Make sure the beaker is cool enough to hold at the top. The contents should still be hot. You may need your teacher to complete this step.

6. Gently swirl the contents of the beaker to mix, then pour into the filter paper in the funnel. Allow to filter though

7.Rinse the beaker you used to heat the mixture previously, and place it back on top of your tripod filled with 50-60 mL of water.

8. Place the evaporating basin on top of the beaker and carefully pour some of the solution from the beaker into the evaporating basin

9.Gently heat the beaker until the solution starts evaporating basin has reduced by half

10. Leave the evaporating basin to cool. Once cool, move the evaporating basin to a warm place where it will not be disrupted (i.e a window-sill) and observe over the next dew days.Blue copper sulfate crystals should form

Observations: I think what would happen during the experiment is that I will mess up.

Show don't tell - The Narrative

Show don't tell

The buildings were tall.

Sarah was really upset.

She was so happy to see him.

Creative writing: Haiku

Hello bloggers this blog will have short poems because of the thing im about to do its called a Haiku. A Haiku is a type of poetry where there are 17 syllables 5 in the first line 7 in the second line and 5 in the last line. So my examples are about the seasons of the world.

Summer

The water was hot

So I built a sandcastle

then it got knocked

Autumn

The leaves were crunchy

Because the trees dropped the leaves

And I had a Pie

Winter

The snow was real cold

Because of the cold weather

So I went inside

Spring

The grass was so green

Because winter has gone away

And I was tired

Creative writing

Hello bloggers today im doing Sensory language as one of my tasks for my creative writing, If you are wondering what sensory language means well it means that its a way to help the reader to feel what the writer feels like the five sense's Sight, touch, taste, hearing and smell.

But theirs a twist I have to NOT use the words of the 5 sense's so here's my example.

I found a sword in the ground and it was big as a car and it took many days to take the sword out and swung it to a pig. But then cut it in half and the pig was delicious and the scent was good because I cooked it right but then my friend threw the pig into the ravine and it made a big boom then it was night so then I went into my comfy sleeping bag and slept.

Naruto quotes

Wake up to reality, Nothing ever goes as planned in this accursed world, the longer you live the more you realise, That the only things that exist in this reality are merely Pain, suffering and futility... listen everywhere you look in this world wherever there is ,light there will always be shadows to be found as well. As long as there are a concept of victors the Vanquish will also exist .The selfish intent of wanting to preserve peace, will initiates wars and hatred is born in order to protect love. There are nexuses, casuals relationships that cannot be separated.

Introduction to Creative writing

hello people reading my blog today I was learning about Language Features and this is my introduction to Creative writing

Personification

Personification is where someone is giving an object or animal human characteristics to create interesting imagery

For example: My alarm clock yells at me to wake up

Onomatopoeia

Onomatopoeia is the process of creating a word that phonetically imitates, resembles, or suggests the sound that it describes. Such a word itself is also called an onomatopoeia.

For example: "oink", "meow", "roar" and "chirp"

Alliteration

Alliteration I where the occurrence of the same letter or sound at the beginning of adjacent or closely connected words. Another way to put this it’s like a tongue twister.

For example: She sells Seashells by the sea shore.
